Now a bibliographic rarity, this is the first edition of Bychkov’s poems written between 1965 and 1989. It comprises the core of his own poems contained in the 400-page edition of 2011, but none of the verse translations from five languages published there or memoirs and essays. The unique feature of this 1995 book is that it includes all of Bychkov’s humorous verse (1971-86), which is addressed to contemporary figures such as Evgenii Rein, Nikolai Bokov, Mark Popovskii and Aleksandr Men’. Extensive notes accompany this part of the collection. |
